Emmett Knowlton’s debut novel, THE CARDINAL RULES, is forthcoming from Little, Brown and Picador UK in spring 2028. His short fiction has appeared in Southern Humanities Review, The Masters Review, and elsewhere, and has been a finalist for the Iowa Review Award and the Cincinnati Review’s Schiff Prize. His work has been supported by St. Albans School, the Ragdale Foundation, and the Vermont Studio Center. He holds an MFA from the University of Montana and a BA from Amherst College.
